Do You Have a
Christmas Heart?
“Hope”
Isaiah 9:1-2
We
walk in darkness.
“This
is the testimony, that the light has come into the world,
and people loved the darkness rather than the light; because
their deeds were evil.”
John 3:19
God
responds to the darkness by
sending Jesus.
“I
am the light of the world. Whoever
follows me will not walk
in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
There
is hope
in the darkness.
“And
again, Isaiah says, ‘The Root of Jesse will spring up,
one who will arise to rule over the nations; the Gentiles will
hope in him.’”
Romans 15:12
“But
in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.
Always be
prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give
the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with
gentleness and respect.”
1 Peter 3:15
Watch
for open
doors that God brings our way.
“(and
for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope
in the living God, who is the Savior of all men…”
1 Timothy 4:10
