Faith Lessons:  What I Learned from
Bible Stories

“Caesarea:  Run With Perseverance”

Hebrews 12:1-3

Acts 26:24-32

Are we willing to tell the story of what God has done for us?

Roman sports declared that their god was great.

A Christ follower is a runner who declares that Jesus Christ
is Lord and God.

“All athletes are disciplined in their training.  They do it to
win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal
prize.  So I run with purpose in every step.  I am not just
shadowboxing.  I discipline my body like an athlete, training
it to do what it should.  Otherwise, I fear that after preaching
to others I myself might be disqualified.”
                                                              1 Corinthians 9:25-27

“Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses
let us throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so
easily entangles us and let us run with perseverance the race
that is set before us.”
                                       Hebrews 12:1

“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one
person gets the prize?  So run to win!”
     1 Corinthians 9:24

We tell the world that we are God's athletes.
